This expansion furthers partnership on sales, marketing and distribution of biocides that started 35-years ago between IMCD (then AWL) and DuPont (previously ACIMA), and strengthens both IMCD’s extensive portfolio as well as DuPont Industrial Biosciences’ route to market.

Dow and DuPont are bringing together their complementary portfolios. Dow Microbial Control is now aligned under DuPont Industrial Biosciences, a business unit of  Specialty Products. IMCD will distribute the company’s biocides in Europe and South Africa across the coatings, construction, homecare and industrial and institutional cleaning markets. IMCD will add value to the distribution with regulatory support and microbiological laboratory support, provided by BioPreserv in Grasse, France.
