Ashland to introduce new performance enhancing additive for waterborne architectural coatings; Phosphate ester surfactant

Ashland is introducing Strodex™ PK-86NV specialty phosphate ester surfactant, a new performance-enhancing additive for waterborne architectural coatings.

“Compared to other products in the PK line, Strodex PK-86NV surfactant combines high active content with near-zero VOCs,” states Lisa Macron, global marketing manager, Ashland coatings. The product also contains no alkyl phenol ethoxylates (APEOs) and is REACH compliant.

This unique product improves substrate wetting, increases gloss, and enhances color acceptance. It can also serve as a co-dispersant in some formulations.
