BASF to increase prices for Dispersions in North America

Effective April 1, 2021, or as contracts allow, BASF’s Dispersions and Resins business will increase prices for its product lines in North America.  Prices for Acrylic dispersions will increase $0.15/lb; prices for Styrene Acrylic dispersions will increase $0.10/lb; and prices for Styrene Acrylic resins will increase up to $0.10/lb. These product lines include BASF brands acResin®, Acrodur®, Acroflor®, Acronal®, AQACell®, and Joncryl®.

In addition, for dispersions where pricing is already calculated monthly based on an established index formula, an increase to the adder of up to $0.03/lb (wet) will be implemented. This increase is driven by continued and rapid escalation of raw material costs, their availability, and increased manufacturing and transportation costs. This increase is required in order to provide continued service, support, and sustainable product manufacturing for our customers.
